Running Log:
02/8/02007: Yesterday I was able to run outside now that it isn't so bitterly cold outside. I really
did not enjoy running around in circles on the track at the Pettit Center. We run between 4 to 6 miles now,
and yes, I'm still enjoying it.
01/28/2007: Of course, the first time I am "scheduled" to run, it snows 2 inches. It was
fun. I have a new reason to run now. Tomorrow is a rest day and I have to go buy some new shoes! I can't
wait!
01/27/2007: Tracy and I attended our Kick-off Team in Training meeting. We had the opportunity
to meet our Honored Patient, Gabrielle VanDyke. What a beautiful little girl, only 6 years old. At age 3 she was
diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). I questioned why I was doing this, however, after I met Gabrielle
and thought of my nephew Cooper having to go through something like this, and I realized, how could I NOT do this. It's
such a great cause!
I went for a 3 mile run before the Kick-off meeting to make sure I could really start training for this.
We have mentors that will help us during our training and they have given us a schedule to follow. Tomorrow I have to
do another 2 to 3 miles.
